RELATIONSHIP OF PREECLAMPSIA WITH EVENTS ASPHYSIA IN NEWBORN BABIES IN RSKD MAKASSAR MOTHER AND CHILDREN

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of asphyxia in newborns at the Mother and Child Hospital for Motherland Makassar. The research design used is analytic with a Cross Sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Mother and Child Hospital Motherland in Makassar. The sampling technique is Accidental Sampling. The number of samples in this study were 30 respondents. The results of the analysis showed that respondents with mild preeclampsia with mild asphyxia, as many as 18 (60%) respondents with mild preeclampsia with moderate asphyxia as many as 1 (3.3%) respondents with mild preeclampsia with severe asphyxia as many as 3 (10%) respondents, severe preeclampsia with mild asphyxia as many as 1 (3.3%) respondents with severe preeclampsia with moderate asphyxia were 5 (16.7%) and respondents with severe preeclampsia with severe asphyxia were 2 (6.7%). The results of statistical tests using Chi-Square, Pearson Chi-Square, p value = 0.001 < = 0.05, meaning Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of asphyxia in newborns. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of asphyxia in newborns at RSKD Ibu And Anak Pertiwi Makassar. It is recommended to health workers, especially midwives at RSKD Mother and Child Pertiwi Makassar as the main service provider in order to improve the quality of better services
