Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between age and blood pressure of hormonal contraceptive acceptors in the Work Area of ​​the Pattallassang Public Health Center, Gowa Regency. The quantitative research design used an Analytical Survey through a Cross Sectional Study approach. The sample in this study amounted to 32 people, with sampling using the purpossive sampling technique, and the research instrument using a questionnaire. The test used is the Chi Square test with Fisher Exact. The results of the research from 32 respondents with young adults as many as 14 (43.8%) respondents and 18 (56.3%) respondents in old adults. Respondents with normal blood pressure were 25 (78.1%) respondents and hypertensive blood pressure were 7 (21.9%) respondents. The results of statistical tests using the chi square test with Fisher Exact derivatives with a significant level of 0.05. Based on the statistical test results obtained p-value = 0.010 or p-value> 0.05. Thus, it can be said that Ho is accepted, Ha is rejected, meaning that there is no relationship between age and blood pressure of hormonal contraceptive acceptors in the Work Area of ​​the Pattallassang Health Center, Gowa Regency. It is recommended to the public, especially mothers, to find out more information about the factors that cause changes in blood pressure
